The Problem
transmission water pipeline: going to the other end
The submerged section of two new water feed pipes fails to pass mandatory hydrostatic testing. The job is at a standstill with daily equipment and labor costs escalating.
The Solution
ZCorr correlation logger placement (land end)
ZCorr correlating loggers are placed on each pipe at both ends of the section. A diver places the logger at the underwater end.
give one water leak noise sound correlating logger to a diver

ZCorr Correlation Screen

water pipeline leak pinpointed (1610 feet on 48 inch pipe)
The “shot” recording is 1,610 feet on 48” ductile iron transmission main. The loggers immediately detect and pinpoint the leak. Close inspection at the indicated position confirms leakage at a manifold blanking plate. The plate bolts are retightened and the pressure test is passed.
