MLOG Statistics
This section helps you estimate how much leakage will be recovered using more or fewer MLOG sensors.
Services per MLOG: Typically an MLOG sensor is placed on every few services, ranging from every service to every 20th service. The optimal cost / benefit of an MLOG deployment will depend primarily on the density of service connections per mile and the value of recovered leakage.
The following values are calculated automatically:
Total number of MLOG sensors: Calculated from the number of service connections and the number of services per MLOG.
MLOG network efficiency (%):
The water distribution system conducts sound from leaks through the water in the pipes. Sometimes leak sound is conducted a long distance (over 1,000 feet). In other situations leak sounds may be inaudible after a short distance (less than 100 feet). MLOG sensors use patented intelligent processing to identify leak sounds and detect inaudible leaks. Deploying MLOG sensors at closer intervals will find more leaks in a shorter time. The MLOG Network Efficiency is an estimate of how much leakage will be recovered using more or fewer MLOG's. Bear in mind that the actual efficiency will vary in practice.
